Cognitive Impaired “Memory” Care
Teresian House offers a 51 bed secure unit for the care of resident that have cognitive impairments. This is for residents with “mild to moderate” forms of dementia. Each neighborhood is focused on providing care and programs in an attempt to prevent rapid decline of the resident with this type of impairment. Special programs are geared to use techniques to enhance memory and promote the resident’s ability to do as much for themselves as possible. This unit is divided into 2 separate neighborhoods with staff trained in “Dementia Care” program recognized by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
