IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PERSPECTIVE EMPLOYEES
Should an offer of employment be made, it will be contingent upon:
DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING
We test for drugs and alcohol at the time of the pre-employment physical. If you have used any drugs within the past 12 months, our test will detect it.
Please consider this BEFORE completing an application.
1. PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL
At the time of a job offer, you will be scheduled for a physical at Teresian House with our Medical Director, (free of charge).
During the course of the pre-employment physical, should our physician find that you have a health concern that may impact your work performance, an offer of employment may be revoked or delayed for follow up with your own physician.
2. IMMUNIZATION DOCUMENTATION
At the time of a physical, you must provide proof of immunization (or immunity to) RUBELLA (regardless of age) and MEASLES (if born in or after 1957). Two documents are required for measles and one document for Rubella, or if combined, two documents for MMR. This documentation may be recorded on your birth certificate, or may be obtained from school records, doctor records, or previous employers.
Note: If immunizations are not in hand at the time the physical is scheduled, you will be asked to reschedule when these documents are available.
A physical exam, at Teresian House, must be completed before a person is allowed to attend General Orientation or begin training.
3. TUBERCULOSIS DOCUMENTATION
If you have been tested for Tuberculosis (mantoux skin test) within the past year, please bring a copy of the results at the time of the physical. If you have had a positive reaction to a mantoux test in the past, you must bring a current chest x-ray report at the time of the physical, as well.
If you have not had a tuberculosis test within the past 6 months, Teresian House will give you a Mantoux Skin Test (free of charge) at the time of the physical.
Mantoux skin tests must be read by a Teresian House designee 48-72 hours after the test is administered. This must be completed by your first day of work/training.
