Question: What services does Teresian House offer?
Answer: Skilled nursing services – 24 hour daily – with licensed certified nursing staff, Therapy (restorative and maintenance levels) physical, occupational and speech, private rooms, meals, social activities, housekeeping services, social services, intergenerational programs.
Question: What is the cost?
Answer: All rooms are based on a private daily rate*:
Units 2-MC: $276 Standard size: Large size: $285
C.Gardens: $283 Large size: $290
* plus a 6% NYS cash receipt tax.
The private daily rate includes: room, meals, 24-hour nursing services, housekeeping, social activities, social services, and pastoral care.
Question: What are some of the extra costs?
Answer: Physician visits not covered under Medicare B, Therapy, Medications, Telephone services, Cable services, newspaper are a few examples.
Question: Do you accept Medicaid?
Answer: Yes. All Medicaid recipients must be prior approved by their county of residence social services for long term care placement.
Question: Is there availability?
Answer: Teresian House has a waiting list. All approved candidates are selected on a needs basis system. As openings occur, the Admissions Committee selects the person on the list next in the most need of placement and appropriate for the unit available.
